Frank has over 25 years’ experience as a consultant and journalist. In his 14-year career at Simon-Kucher & Partners he has developed pricing strategies and pricing processes in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia for a wide range of clients.
He co-wrote the book Manage for Profit, Not for Market Share (Harvard Business School Press, 2006), which has now appeared in 15 languages. He has published commentaries in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and the music industry trade magazine Billboard. He has also discussed pricing strategies for consumer goods on National Public Radio, CNN’s “American Morning”, and CBS "Sunday Morning". His comments on pricing have appeared in Advertising Age, BusinessWeek, CNN Money, Harvard Business School Working Knowledge, Inc. Magazine, Internet Retailer, Knowledge@Wharton, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, USAToday, and various trade publications.
Frank is a member of the Professional Pricing Society (PPS), for whom he has held several successful workshops and keynote addresses. He is also a member of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM).
Prior to joining Simon-Kucher & Partners, Frank worked in Germany for four years as news editor for a wire service partly owned by Dow Jones. From 1988 to 1992 he performed research and analysis for the leading economic consulting firms Lexecon and Analysis Group. Frank holds a degree in physics from the University of Chicago.
